TPS, Thyna Petroleum Services Is currently looking for :

Field HSSE Technician

Main duties & responsibilities:
HSSE Leadership and commitment:
• Promote HSSE through personal, visible and measurable example
• Develop and maintain a high level of HSSE culture among TPS field personnel

Operations:
• Conduct HSSE site orientations for visitors, contractors and new employees to ensure that all persons entering a TPS site are fully aware of the HSE risks and their control measures
• Participate actively (as per standards and procedures) in field HSSE activities such as: PTW, lock out – tag out (LOTO), confined space entry, working at height, crude loading / unloading, heavy lifting, hazardous chemicals / crude oil transportation, marine operations and other high risk tasks in order to ensure that these tasks are conducted safely
• Assist the site responsible in the implementation of environmental an health standards by enforcing compliance with waste management, spill prevention and health & hygiene procedures
• Participate actively to incident investigation led by operations
• Participate actively in risk assessment analysis (HARC, JSA..) led by operations
• Verify the adequacy and condition of all safety equipment and devices and take appropriate measures to ensure they are always in good working condition
Training and coaching:
• Conduct regular practical training sessions on the use of safely devices including H2S to relevant TPS employees and contractors
• Coach TPS employees and contractors en “Stepping, Handing and Lifting”, techniques

Communication and reporting:
• Ensure that all incidents are timely reported as per TPS Reporting Standard
• Communicate lessons learnt, safely alerts and best practices to TPS employees and contractors

Qualifications & experience:
• Height Scholl technician diploma and/or a recognized HSE qualification (NEBOSH,..)
• First experience in oil gas, mining industry would be a plus
• Knowledge of HSSE principles and risk management techniques
• Strong communications skills
• Languages skills: English, French
